Highest Awards Training
|
Are you a Cadette, Senior or Ambassador interested in earning your Girl Scout Silver or Gold Award or an adult working with them? Attend a virtual Highest Awards training on April 24 at 6 pm and learn the process for earning these awards.
This training is required for those interested in earning the Gold Award and highly recommended for those planning to earn the Silver Award.

Venture Out II Training

This class is required before any camping trips or activities that involve fire building.

Level Up!
|
|
Are your girls bridging to a new grade level? Learn more about what that program level means for you as a troop leader. You will learn about developmental milestones, what girl-led looks like at this level, and what programming opportunities are available to girls at their new level. Level Up trainings will be available through gsLearn in the first part of May.

Highest Awards Ceremony and Bridging to Adults
|
|
Girl Scouts – Diamonds will be hosting a ceremony for those who have earned the Girl Scout Gold Award and Girl Scout Silver Award, along with our graduating seniors who will be bridging to adults. This ceremony will take place on June 10 at The Jones Center in Springdale. Girls have already received a save-the-date email and printed invitations will be mailed soon. Questions? Science in the Woods Day Camp
|
|
Join us for a fun week of day camp July 17-21 at Burnham Woods and the STEAM Center. Girls will experience hands-on activities and skill-building opportunities in the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) fields and the outdoors. During camp, girls will participate in a badge series or Journey. Registration includes the entire week, and the event runs from 9 am-5 pm daily.

Spring Renewal

Spring Renewal is here and it's time for your year! The first day of Spring Renewal was April 10. The final day to renew early is May 15. You don't want to miss out on these limited incentives, so make sure you renew early!

Adult Recognitions - DEADLINE April 15!
|

Adult Recognition nominations are due today, April 15! All recognition information, including required forms, can be found here. Nomination packets are due to recognitions@girlscoutsdiamonds.org by 11:59 pm tonight.

Surveys on the Horizon
|
GSUSA surveys members across the movement each year through Girl Scout Voices Count surveys. Troop leader, parent and girl surveys went out in early April with service unit surveys going out in May. Keep an eye out for these survey links, which will come from GirlScouts@qemailserver.com. The troop leader, girl and caregiver surveys will remain open through May 7. Your voice matters!
Thank you to service unit leadership team members who completed the March service unit partnership review survey and to troop leaders who completed the March troop leader survey.

Get Your Free Troop Money Bag!
|
|
Troops who submit their annual Troop Financial report through the online VTK Finance Tab by May 31, 2023, will receive a troop money bag. Financials must be complete with supporting paperwork (large attachments can be emailed to dwolverton@girlscoutsdiamonds.org by May 31, 2023). Extension Requests and late submissions will not qualify.

Troop and Service Unit Finances
|
|
Keeping accurate financial records at the troop and service unit level is important for maintaining Girl Scout's non-profit status and to safeguard the troop and service unit’s hard-earned funds. All annual troop financials are due by May 31 or the approved extended date requested of June 30. The annual service unit financials are due by July 31. Please review the financial reports document for detailed instructions and information and email Dana Wolverton if you have questions.

Kids to College Program
|
|
ACAAA and Entergy have teamed up to promote education and higher learning opportunities through the Kids to College Program. This is a college savings program for children of Entergy customers who meet certain income requirements. Included in the program is a one-time $50 match offered by Entergy. 2023 Cookie Rewards Update
|
Due to a quality issue with the original pen, Little Brownie Bakers (LBB) will be substituting a new dolphin pen in reward orders. LBB is working closely with the supplier to get the new pens in hand as quickly as possible but this item could potentially arrive later than all other reward items. If this occurs, service unit product managers will receive an email with updates.

Rogers Retail Update
|
The Rogers retail location closed to the public on April 3. At this time we do not have a re-opening date scheduled. Customer service is important to us and we apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause. Please have patience while the retail team determines next steps.

The Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting binders will be discontinued and replaced with new handbooks beginning mid-July.
The Girl Scouts – Diamonds retail stores and www.girlscoutshop.com has limited stock. Be sure to get one before they are gone!
