Fall Event at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari
|
Join GSSI on Saturday, September 7, for our Girl Scouts Love the Outdoors Fall Event as Girl Scout councils from across Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio partner up for a fun day at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari in Santa Claus, Indiana. This day of fun and adventure is perfect for the entire family! Tickets to this event will give families access to Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari, a buffet lunch, a Girl Scout SWAP session, a special patch, and additional programs & activities for Girl Scouts throughout the day.
Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful donors, you can now enjoy a $10 discount on our original $60 ticket price for this event! Don't miss this incredible opportunity to have a fun-filled day at a reduced rate of $50 per ticket! If you hold a season pass, you may use it for admission and will also receive that $10 discount, bringing it from the original price of $25 to $15 to gain access to the event for the buffet lunch and Girl Scout program activities.

Girl Media Team Callout
|
All Girl Scouts in grades 2-12 are invited to join GSSI's new Girl Media Team! The team will be a part of our council's marketing & communication strategy and allow girls to use their skills and talents to help tell the Girl Scout story in our communities through writing stories, creating social media content, taking photos, and speaking with local media.
Interested girls are invited to our Girl Media Team Callout event, which will teach them about storytelling, interview skills, photography, and video creation.
When: Saturday, August 17, 1:00–3:00 PM CDT
Where: GSSI Council Office, 5000 E Virginia St, Evansville, IN 47715
Registration Deadline: Monday, August 12 at 12:30 PM CDT.

Hey there, Girl Scouts—The school year has finished, end-of-year celebrations with troops have been had, and summer is now upon us, but GSSI still wants to know what your troop did this year! Send us your Girl Scout stories & photos and get featured on GSSI's social media & website. All submissions can be emailed to Hannah Minasian at hminasian@girlscouts-gssi.org. Girl Scout Membership Reminder

Girls can join Girl Scouts anytime! Whether they’ve always wanted to build their own robot, create the perfect s’more over a campfire, plant a tree in their community, or film their own movietheir dreams will take flight as a Girl Scout.

Whether you're new to Girl Scouts or bridged up to a new level, the GSSI Shop has all your uniform essentials to start the year off right.

My Girl Scout Kits include all the essentials your girl needs for each grade level for just $60 and includes a free drawstring bag! Each level may choose from a kit with a sash or a vest.

My Girl Scout Uniform Basics order forms allow you to select uniform pieces a la carte.

Girl Scouts Essentials Guide includes official apparel and accessories for girls and adults and all badges and patches for each grade level.

The shop is open for in-person shopping on Mondays from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM CDT. Can't make it in? No worries! Online and pre-orders are accepted Monday through Friday and may be placed online, by email, or by phone for FREE shipping or pick-up!

The cookie program is gearing up for a new year! If your troop is already established and knows who your cookie volunteer is for our 2025 Cookie Season, please email cookies@girlscouts-gssi.org. The Cookie Department and Service Unit Cookie Chairs will be reaching out to all troops during the month of August to touch base.

Girl Scout Gathering at Vincennes State Historic Site
What: Daisy, Brownie, and Junior Girl Scouts are invited to complete badge activities and learn about Indiana's history and culture at this 3-part partner activity with Vincennes, Angel Mounds, and New Harmony state historic sites. At each gathering, there will be 6 activities where Girl Scouts will complete the requirements for 2 badges. Attend all 3 gatherings and girls will earn 6 different badges!
When: Saturday, September 21, 2024, 9 AM - 12 PM CDT
Where: 1 West Harrison Street, Vincennes, IN 47591
Cost: $10 per Girl Scout; 25% discount for members

Girl Scout Day with USI Women's Soccer
What: Girl Scouts and their families are invited to cheer on the USI Screaming Eagles Women's Soccer team as they take on Eastern Illinois University! Girls will get a special tour of the athletic center, meet the players, and get their autographs after the game!
When: Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 1 PM CDT
Where: Strassweg Field on the USI Campus
Cost: FREE
