Register for First Aid/CPR Training
|
Join GSSI for this First Aid/CPR certification course with an accredited organization, specifically for our Girl Scout volunteers. Individuals will learn to manage a variety of accidents from scrapes and cuts to bruises, choking, and accidental poisoning. Volunteers are not required to complete this training through GSSI if they are already certified. Please note, GSSI will not accept certifications or recertifications from online-only courses.

MyGS Maintenance Scheduled for This Weekend
|
Routine maintenance for the myGS member portal (including the Volunteer Toolkit and gsLearn) is scheduled for this weekend. Volunteers will be unable to access their myGS accounts starting this Friday June 21, at 10:00 PM EDT to Sunday, June 23, 10:00 PM EDT.
We know that it’s a busy time of year for Girl Scouts, which is why we want to make sure our system is in tip-top shape! Routine system maintenance is necessary for keeping things running smoothly for our caregivers, volunteers, and staff. Make sure you have everything you might need in advance of this downtime so you aren’t inconvenienced!

Volunteer Toolkit Year Plans Reset in July
|
Volunteer Toolkit (VTK) year plans will reset for the 2024-2025 membership year on July 15 so co-leaders can start planning for the new year! The 2023-2024 year plans will be archived and accessible moving forward, but troop attendance and achievements will NOT be saved. If needed, co-leaders can download attendance and achievement records from the "My Troop" tab before July 15.
Contact Alyssa Miller at amiller@girlscouts-gssi.org with questions regarding the Volunteer Toolkit.

Pride Month Celebration Fun Patch
|
As we celebrate diversity and inclusion during #PrideMonth, let's learn how to explore allyship and thus continue our mission to make the world a better place by putting the Girl Scout Law into action (be friendly, considerate, caring, responsible for what I say and do, and respect myself and others). Don't miss out on earning your special patch.
Reminder: before covering any sensitive issue, either within or beyond the scope of the Girl Scout program resources, groups must obtain council approval and have parents/guardians complete a Sensitive Issues Permission Form.

Show Us What You're Up To!
|
GSSI wants to know about the positive change that local Girl Scouts are creating so that we can spread their stories and their impact further. Tell us about your troop's Take Action project, volunteer activities, or participation in local events. Your girls could be featured on our website, social media, or future marketing materials!
Send your stories and photos to Hannah Minasian at hminasian@girlscouts-gssi.org. Be sure to include your troop number and details of the activities pictured.
