Exciting News: Announcing Our 2026 National Delegates!
|
We are thrilled to share that Megan Murphy and Mirelle Rahman (girl members) and Amber Breedlove and Kristin Murphy (adult members) have been selected to serve as National Delegates. Ava Pelczarski and Kaylee Greer (girl members) and Mary Elkins and Kelly Keeton (adult members) have been chosen as alternates representing Girl Scouts – Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas at the GSUSA National Conference in July 2026!
As National Delegates and alternates, they have the incredible opportunity—and responsibility—to represent the voices of our council’s membership, engage deeply with national proposals, and serve as voting members on the National Council. Their role will be critical in shaping the future of Girl Scouting by influencing key decisions and participating in meaningful conversations at the national level.
To prepare, this dedicated team — led by Shelby-Allison Hibbs, development director and council delegate liaison — will engage in eight months of orientation and training. This preparation will cover policy-influencing and policy-making strategies, a deeper understanding of the Girl Scout Movement and council model, collaborative analysis of national issues from a council perspective, the democratic process within GSUSA, and much more.
We are so fortunate to have their leadership, insight, and commitment on this team. Their ability to think strategically and focus on the future of the Movement will be a tremendous asset. Join us in congratulating them and thanking them for their service!

Membership Renewal
|
Thank you to everyone who participated in early renewal! Our team will have incentives to you at the August Service Unit Summit. If you have not renewed yet, don’t worry. There is still plenty of time! Spring renewal continues until May 15. We also have incentives for troops who renew during this period. In June, troops with a combined 60% to 90% retention of adults and girls will be included in weekly giveaways. Depending on the week, troops might win a Girl Scout shop gift card or a set of bridging kits.
If you have any questions, please email us at info@girlscoutsdiamonds.org or visit our website and try our live chat feature!

Cookie Program
|
We’ve reached one of the most exciting points in the cookie season – rewards time! Rewards will begin shipping to Service Unit Product Managers (SUPMs) this month. SUPMs will receive the packages, inspect them for any missing or damaged items, and report any issues directly to the product program department. Once everything has been reviewed and sorted, SUPMs will distribute the items to troops. Troops should then pass the rewards along to their Girl Scouts as soon as possible. Exciting news—our upcoming mascots are here! The 2025 Fall Product mascot is the black-footed ferret, and the 2026 Cookie Program mascot is the grizzly bear. This year’s theme: Brave. Fierce. Fun. —perfectly capturing the spirit of our Girl Scouts!
