Yearly Finance Reports are Due Soon!
|
|
All Girl Scout member groups (troops, day camps, service units, etc.) must complete a finance report each year. This year, finance reports must be submitted by June 14th. For complete information on what and how to submit, visit the link below.

Introducing GSSI's Director of Membership
|
|
Kim Consley, our new Director of Membership, joined GSSI in February, bringing with her a wealth of expertise and experience. Her background in customer service, sales, and recruitment, coupled with her versatile skill set reflected in her degrees in general studies, business, and nursing, make her a valuable addition to our team. Since her arrival, she has introduced fresh perspectives and innovative strategies, building excitement for the future. Originally from Madison, IN, Kim relocated from Louisville to Newburgh in 2021. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her 4-year-old Corgi, Winston, and her partner AJ.

Service Unit Communication
|
Service units (SUs) consist of local volunteers and girl members in an immediate geographic area, such as a city or county. SUs are led by volunteer teams who foster a supportive Girl Scout community where members feel known and valued. To ensure community support, it is essential for SU teams to have email addresses and phone numbers for volunteers in their area. Full or partial contact lists are typically shared with the following SU volunteers:
•SU Chairs (Business, Volunteer, and Cookie Chairs)
•SU Day Camp Directors
•SU Secretaries
•SU Delegates
•SU Community and School Liaisons
•SU Mentors
GSSI only provides SU teams with contact information for their specific area. SU volunteers are not permitted to share private contact information with anyone and must ensure contact lists remain confidential. If you do not want to be contacted by your local SU team, please notify Kim Consley at kconsley@girlscouts-gssi.org by Monday, June 10.

Summer Service Unit Meetings
|
ALL volunteers are invited to attend their local summer service unit meeting! Meet and catch up with local volunteers, celebrate accomplishments, and share ideas for the upcoming membership year. Staff will be present to distribute end-of-year gifts to co-leaders and service unit volunteers; volunteers who cannot make their local meeting may pick up their gifts from the GSSI office.
Knox: Tuesday, June 18, 6:30 PM EDT, location to be determined
Vanderburgh (East River, North Central, North West): Thursday, July 25, 6:00 PM CDT, GSSI Office (5000 E Virginia St, Evansville)

End of Cookie Program Surveys
|
GSSI is always here to help and we want to do whatever we can to make your next cookie program bigger and better! We have created a survey for volunteers and a survey for girls & their families, so please share any feedback or ideas with us as we read every comment and suggestion. There will be a drawing for a $25 GSSI Shop Gift Certificate for each survey, too!
Deadline for submissions is Friday, June 14!

GSSI wants to know about the positive change that local Girl Scouts are creating so that we can spread their stories and their impact further. Tell us about your troop's Take Action project, volunteer activities, or participation in local events. Your girls could be featured on our website, social media, or future marketing materials!
