You're Invited to STEM in the Wild!
|
Kids from all around southwest Indiana are invited to experience STEM in the great outdoors at STEM in the Wild! This exciting one-day experience will immerse them in hands-on STEM activities, nature exploration, and team-building challenges that foster critical thinking, resilience, and teamwork with over 20 local community organizations and businesses!
Event Highlights include: 🎯 Take aim at targets with Ascend Archery 🏭 Get hands-on with Berry Plastics and discover the science behind materials 🦅 Experience a live Birds of Prey demonstration with Falconry Chronicles 👩💻 Make binary code bracelets with USI’s Society of Women Engineers 🚀 Explore a space-themed activity with NASA Ambassador Mandy Scurry 🤖 Build circuits and power robots with UE’s Design & Innovation Training Studio 🦝 Learn about wildlife through sensory activities with Wesselman Woods ✨ And more with all of our community partners!
Tickets are $10 per kid (K-12), and include a snack and a fun patch. Pre-registration is required, and the deadline is Monday, April 7, so sign up today and get ready to explore, experiment, and discover the wonders of STEM in the Wild!

Summer 2025 Resident Camp and Day Camp
|
This summer, come explore the outdoors, try new activities, practice independence, learn to work with others, make new friends, and more at Girl Scout resident camps at Camp Koch and day camps across the council!
Resident Camp sessions at Camp Koch this year include: • Family Camp: Survivor (June 14-15): All ages • Camper Sampler (June 22-25): Grades 5 and up • Young Explorers Outdoor Expedition (June 22-25): Grades 2-4 • Trailblazers Camp (June 22-27): Grades 6 and up • Explore the Trails (June 25-27): Grades 5 and up • Crafty Camp Critters (June 25-27): Grades 2-4 • Alice in Wonderland Adventure Camp (June 28-29): Grades 2 and up A special thank you to the Edgar and Roberta Mulzer Foundation, Inc., for sponsoring resident camps this year!
Day Camps are a great introduction to camping and help prepare girls for future resident camp experiences! At GSSI, day camps are held in various counties and are coordinated by local volunteer teams. The following counties currently have 2025 day camps: Daviess, Dubois, Knox, Martin, Perry, Pike, Posey, Warrick, and Vanderburgh.

Keep the fun, friendship, and adventure going next year by renewing your Girl Scout membership! End of Cookie Season Updates
|
Cookie Recognitions are now in! - Troops are working to get their recognitions picked up and to the girls. - If a Girl Scout received any recognitions from the 750 level or higher, they will be contacted directly by the council with pick up information. - If a Girl Scout received her 2026 Girl Scout Membership through the 2025 Cookie Program, families should have received an email with information about this recognition level. If you did not, please email cookies@girlscouts-gssi.org. - Cookie Dough will be emailed out directly to families during April.

GSSI Trip to the 2026 National Convention
|

Bridging marks a Girl Scout's transition from one leadership level to the next, and with a Bridging Kit, that transition and celebration are made easy! The Bridging Kit includes: a Bridging Award Patch, a Bridging Certificate, a Membership Star & Disc, a Bridging Pencil, and a Bridging Fun Patch. To order, use this order form and turn it into the council office.
The GSSI Shop is open for in-person shopping on Mondays from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM CT. Can't make it in? No worries! April is Volunteer Appreciation Month
|
Hey there, Girl Scout families, Volunteer Appreciation Month has just begun, and that means it’s time to show our creative, caring, and inspiring Girl Scout volunteers how much they mean to us.
For the month of April, Vest Quest Fridays will feature some activities for Girl Scouts to show their gratitude for their local Girl Scout Volunteers on Fridays in the GSSI Shop. Just stop in anytime between 12:00-4:45 PM CT. You can also customize a printable card, decorate a coloring sheet for your favorite volunteer, or send an e-card. Showing gratitude has never been easier!

Earth Day and the Girl Scout Tree Promise

Don Quixote presented by the Children's Center for Dance Education Who: Open to All What: This is a one-hour-long adaptation of the full-length ballet, based on the famous novel Don Quixote de la Mancha by Miguel De Cervantes, a Spanish Novelist, poet, and playwright.
