Reaching Higher Goals
Though initial orders have already been submitted, girls can keep taking orders to reach their cookie goals! Leaders and cookie volunteers—remind girls to resend cookie links to customers who ordered in December; they might need to restock!
Raspberry Rally Temporarily Turned off in Smart Cookies
Raspberry Rallys will be turned off from the online platform until Friday, February 10. This was planned for councils with cookie programs that start later. Once it is turned back on on February 10, it will remain on for the rest of the GSSI cookie program.
Walmart & Schnucks Cookie Booth Lotteries
Walmart Lotteries for East Evansville, Newburgh, 1st Ave Evansville, and West Evansville began Wednesday, January 18 at 9:00 AM CST and will run until Saturday, January 21 at 9:00 AM CST. First come, first serve times will open at 4:00 CST on Saturday, January 21, and remain open until all slots are filled.
We are still coordinating booths with Schnucks' corporate office. We will send an email through Smart Cookies when these become available.
Smart Cookies Tip of the Week: Entering Troop-Secured Cookie Booths
Make sure to add all troop-secured booths into Smart Cookies! This allows you to access the credit card platform, allows customers to locate your booth in the Cookie Finder, and ensures that no locations get overbooked.

SHOP UPDATES

Show your GSSI pride with our new troop t-shirts and crewneck sweatshirts! Each shirt features the GSSI servicemark on the front, and you can include your troop number on the right sleeve. We have a small stock of t-shirts in the shop, but they do not include a troop number. Orders may be placed over the phone, by emailing support@girlscouts-gssi.org, at the shop, or by mailing a check with your order form. The last order will be placed on February 1. All orders must be received by 5:00 PM CST on January 31.

After School Program Facilitators provide girls with The Girl Scout Leadership Experience by facilitating programs at schools and community organizations during the school year. This position offers a flexible weekly schedule of 1-4 days a week between 2:00-5:00 PM. This role is perfect for college students or retirees!

2023 Highest Award Virtual Q&A Session

Would you like to know more about Highest Awards? Join us for GSSI's Highest Awards Virtual Q&A Sunday, February 5, at 2:00 PM CST.
We are here to help you go Bronze, Silver, or Gold! Girl Scouts in all stages of the Highest Award process are encouraged to bring their ideas and an open mind to this interactive question-and-answer session. With GSSI staff members, girls will discuss project ideas, network with one another, receive feedback on project proposals, and find ways to improve their projects!

GIRL SCOUT DAY WITH THE EVANSVILLE THUNDERBOLTS

SILENT SCIENCE SEQUENCE: A HANDS-ON EVENT FOR BROWNIES & JUNIORS
When: Saturday, February 11, 9:30-11:00 AM CST
Where: EVPL Oaklyn Branch
What: We are breaking the silence, learning about female scientists throughout history, and experiencing their significant scientific contributions for ourselves. Celebrate the UN International Day of Women and Girls in Science by joining local NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador, Lifetime Girl Scout, and GSSI Volunteer Mandy Scurry on a journey through time to meet six outstanding scientists and learn about their contributions through authentic, hands-on activities. When: Thursday, February 16-Saturday, February 18 at 7:00 PM CST & Sunday, February 19 at 3:00 PM CST.

Cost: $18/person ages 2+
