Every year, Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from over 150 countries around the world join together for World Thinking Day. In 2026, we’re celebrating 100 years of our most beloved annual tradition.

This year’s theme is "Our Friendship." We invite you to join as we explore our worldwide Girl Scouts/Girl Guides community and celebrate the friendships that connect us all around the globe. The good news is, your Girl Scout Troop doesn’t need to wait until February 22 to start earning their awards. Coastal Camp | March 30-April 2

Spend some time by the sea in Big Sur with friends, learning about the local ecosystems. Go whale watching, explore the coast, and see marine sanctuaries. At camp you'll plan and make your own meals, pick your activities, and jam out on the drive to the coast!

This Spring Break opportunity is open to Girl Scouts in 6-12 grade. Transportation is provided.

Outdoor Adventure Campout | April 18-19

Get ready for a fun, confidence-building weekend that sparks a love of nature and builds outdoor skills. Girl Scouts and their adults camp together in a supportive, community-focused environment—exploring conservation, earning outdoor badges, and making unforgettable memories. Participants can choose from themed “trails” like horseback riding, target sports, fishing, and natural sciences, along with classic camp favorites such as swimming, rock climbing, camping with their troop, and outdoor exploration.

Calling All Creators: Design the Menzies 80th Anniversary Logo!

We’re inviting our members to design a commemorative emblem to celebrate Camp Menzies’ 80th anniversary! Show off your creativity and love for camp by submitting your original design between now and February 28. All entries will be reviewed, and three designs will be refined and put up for community voting in March. Whether you’re a camper, alum, volunteer, or lifelong fan, this is your chance to showcase your creativity and leave a lasting mark on Camp Menzies’ legacy!

Ready to elevate your leadership? High school-aged Girl Scouts can apply for a two-year term as a Girl Board Member, gaining real-world experience in governance, planning, and decision-making. You’ll represent Girl Scouts at the highest level of our council and take part in key meetings and trainings that shape GSHCC’s future.

Julie Weng-Gutierrez has been a dedicated Girl Scout volunteer for 11 years, proudly serving as the Troop Leader for Troop 447. Anyone who has seen Julie work with her girls quickly recognizes how special she is. She is deeply passionate about building strong, confident Girl Scouts, shows up with intention and purpose, and gives 110% to everything she does. Her girls are fortunate to have her, and our organization is stronger because of her unwavering dedication. Beyond Girl Scouts, Julie’s leadership and commitment to service reflect the very best of Girl Scout values, inspiring girls, fellow volunteers, and the broader community.

Mega Drop 2026 is almost here—and we need AMAZING volunteers like YOU! We’re looking for volunteers to help launch the 2026 Girl Scout Cookie Season and support cookie distribution for local troops. Service Units attending are requested to provide 10 volunteers. Volunteers must be 11 or older.
