Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts: Take the Next Step in Your Leadership Journey
|
|
Calling all Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts!
Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson, Inc. (GSHH) is looking for the next class of leaders who will represent the girl voice on its Board of Directors and at the 2026 National Council Session in Washington, DC.
Girl Scouts who will be 16 years old by March 1, 2025, are welcome to apply to be a Girl Board Director on GSHH's Board of Directors. This unique leadership opportunity allows Girl Scouts to participate in the highest level of girl leadership in GSHH, be the girl voice and influence decisions that impact Girl Scouts, demonstrate leadership in college applications, experience a boardroom setting, build communication skills and confidence, and meet and network with top-level business professionals.
This position has a one-year term and will be voted on at the 2025 Annual Meeting on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Girl Board Directors are expected to attend regular Board Meetings and maintain an active Girl Scout membership.
Applications are due by Wednesday, October 30, 2024.
GSHH is also accepting applications from active Girl Scouts who are 14 years old as of December 31, 2025, to apply to be a National Delegate to serve a three (3) year term (2025-2028). The 2026 NCS will be held July 2026 in Washington, DC.
National Delegates are voting members at the National Council Session (NCS), held every three years. As members of the National Council, National Delegates hold elections, amend the GSUSA Constitution, determine the general lines of policy for the Girl Scout Movement and program by considering and acting upon proposals directed toward fostering and improving Girl Scouts, and receive and act upon reports of the National Board of Directors. National Delegates are the voice of our council membership to GSUSA and the National Board. GSHH's class of 2026 National Delegates will be voted on during the Annual Meeting on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
Applications are due as soon as possible.
Contact boarddevelopment@girlscoutshh.org with any questions.

Farewell to Helen
|
On Tuesday, October 15th, GSHH staff met for an all-staff meeting/going away party for Helen Wronski. During the meeting, Helen officially 'passed the pearls' to Dr. Kari Rockwell, and had the opportunity to say goodbye to staff. As she left for the airport, staff lined the hallway to send Helen off with her favorite candies as a sweet reminder of her time with GSHH.
