They’ll also enjoy meals at some of the city’s favorite restaurants and experience the best of Tulsa’s sights, sounds, and flavors—all while making memories with fellow Girl Scouts from across our council. During the trip, girls will stay at Tall Chief Girl Scout Camp, giving them a fun and comfortable home base between excursions. Every participant will also receive our exclusive new Destinations hoodie and patch to commemorate this special trip!

Ozarks Outdoor Adventure | June 7-14 2026 | 9th-12th Grade
Next summer we’ll head to the beautiful Ozark Mountains for an unforgettable outdoor experience. Girls will stay at Camp NOARK in Huntsville, Arkansas, and Buffalo Lodge for part of the trip, experiencing a mixture of camp life and travel.

Property Updates
Northwest Regional Office
Effective October 1, 2025, volunteers will be unable to reserve the Girl Scouts – Diamonds meeting room in Suite 1300 at the Center for Nonprofits at Saint Mary’s. This change is due to building access limitations (card access) that is beyond our control. The Center for Nonprofits continues to offer eight free meeting spaces available to book. You can find booking contacts and room details here.

Burnham Woods Renovation Update
Exciting progress is happening at Burnham Woods:
  • Two ADA-accessible showers have been installed in the Art Building.
  • Sheetrock installation has begun in Kelley Cabin.
We’re thrilled to share that this project remains on schedule, and we can’t wait to welcome Girl Scouts into these refreshed spaces soon. Stay tuned!
Equine Updates
Your voice matters - your experience helps shape the future of our horse program! We’re conducting an Equine Program Impact Study to better understand its reach, effectiveness, and potential.

This study will help us:
  • Measure how well the program supports members across the council
  • Identify barriers to access (like cost, distance, or scheduling)
  • Ensure resources are used strategically and sustainably
  • Keep the program girl-led, mission-driven, and FUN
How to get involved:
  • Take the 6-8 minute survey
  • Invite us! Email barn@girlscoutsdiamonds.org if you’d like an equine staff member at your troop or service unit meeting. We may even bring along a special guest!
We especially encourage girl members to share their voices - the equine program should reflect what they want to learn, explore, and experience.

Family Days
Our equine program takes a seasonal pause during extreme cold and hot months, but this year we’re offering Family Days with our herd! Families can enjoy fun, horse-themed activities inside Friendship Lodge (kept warm or cool), with rotating groups visiting the barn.
Families and troops can also book a facility rental for extended camp experience – perfect for those making a longer trip!

Holiday at the Barn | Dec 13
Camps of Excellence FAQ
As promised, we have compiled an FAQ reflecting the questions received before and during the September 9 council-wide virtual meeting and you can find them on our website here. The initial property news and Camps of Excellence strategy email can be viewed here.

If you have additional questions, please email info@girlscoutsdiamonds.org.

Celebrating Camp Cahinnio and Radford House
Closing ceremonies will be held at Camp Cahinnio and Radford House this fall, after existing reservations are honored, so girls, alums, and volunteers may gather to celebrate these beloved places together.

Radford House | November 8 | 2-4pm
Camp Cahinnio | November 15 | 2-4pm
Activity Insurance Update
Starting October 1, 2025, Activity Accident Insurance will be automatic, with no additional cost. In addition to accident/injury coverage for day events, the new policy will also include sickness coverage for all overnight stays and international travel. Best of all, this eliminates the need for manual requests, easing the administrative load for volunteers and staff. For questions, email incident@girlscoutsdiamonds.org.
