Last Saturday, June 1, GSHH celebrated the 2024 class of Gold and Silver Award Girl Scouts! We were honored to host Girl Scouts and their families as they received their awards and celebrated their achievements with their Girl Scout peers. Thank you to all who attended and made this a memorable event, especially to the Gold and Silver Award mentors who assisted in the ceremony, GSHH Board Members Liz Kaufman and Erin O'Donnell who were in attendance, and our Silver Award ceremony guest speaker and GSHH alum Elizabeth Verboys. The projects for the Gold and Silver Award Girl Scouts are listed on GSHH's website.

REMINDER: The Tuckahoe-Eastchester Girl Scout Center will be closed for repairs/renovations from June 17th to approximately September 2nd. We will contact those who had a reservation for the property and assist them in finding alternative arrangements. Thank you in advance for your patience as we work with the team at G1 to improve our facilities and provide a better meeting place for you and your Girl Scouts!

Fly Fishing @ Ten Mile River Preserve
|

Fishing For Something To Do?
GSHH is excited to offer a new partnership with 10 Mile River Preserve in Dutchess County and there is something for girls and adults.
Girls will have the opportunity to earn the Stream Girls patch while learning how to Fly Fish. All equipment, lunch, and the patch are included.
We are offering a Cook-Out-Camp Out Training for adults while the girls are fishing. Take advantage of completing a required training on a picturesque property during an awesome time of the year.
Both activities are on Saturday, June 22nd from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.

Apply for the 2024-2025 Girl Advisory Team

Applications are now available for the Girl Advisory Team. Girl Scouts entering grades 9 through 12 in fall 2024 are invited to apply to join the team that represents the voices of girls from throughout GSHH. Members of the Girl Advisory Team will gain experience through creating change and developing professional and leadership skills.

Looking to make property reservations for the summer and fall of 2024? We are happy to announce that Service Unit and troop reservations for summer and fall 2024 are now open, or will be opening in the coming weeks.

GSHH Properties (except Rock Hill and Camp Addisone Boyce during summer camp weeks) are now available to reserve in Doubleknot for the summer through August 31st. Select the option labeled 2024 to make reservations starting July 1, 2024.

Fall 2024 Service Unit Camping Application is now open!
Submit this form by June 7th for your Service Unit to be considered for the use of GSHH's camp properties this fall.

Cook Out/Camp Out Trainings
|
|
Join GSHH staff and volunteer trainers for Cook Out and Camp Out Training! These two trainings are required for outdoor cooking and overnights with Girl Scouts. We encourage as many volunteers as possible to have this training to support their outdoor activities.

Work at GSHH's Summer Camps this Year
|
|
Interested in working at Summer Camp this summer? GSHH is looking for qualified candidates for both Camp Addisone Boyce Day Camp and Rock Hill Camp Resident Camp for the summer of 2024.
We are actively interviewing and hiring for all positions including nurses, specialists, lifeguards, unit leaders, and counselors. Applicants must be at least 18 years old by June 1, 2024 to work at camp. This is a great opportunity for high school graduates or college students, pass this along to anyone who may be interested in having the ultimate Girl Scout summer!
