Girls will stay at Camp Noark in Huntsville, Arkansas, and Buffalo Lodge for part of the trip, experiencing a mixture of camp life and travel. We are proud to offer this experience for $878 as one of the most affordable Girl Scouts Destinations.

Partnership with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for Recreation, Safety, and Service
|
Girl Scouts of the USA and the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) have refreshed a decades-long partnership. USACE manages 12 million acres of land and water resources including 400 lake and river projects, 41,000 miles of shoreline, 7800 miles of trails, almost 95,000 camp sites, and 3700 boat ramps in 43 states.
They support recreation opportunities including boating, fishing, camping and hiking. For the more adventurous there is snorkeling, windsurfing, whitewater rafting, mountain biking and geo-caching. They can provide troops with educational and volunteer service opportunities and honor the Every Kid in the Outdoors pass, providing a free pass to all 4th graders to enter hundreds of federal outdoor sites that normally charge a fee (excludes other required paid services like camp sites).
Water safety is a top priority for USACE and they provide educational programs for all ages on-site and off-site locations.

We’re launching a GroupMe channel for older Girl Scouts! This is their space to connect, share ideas, and stay in the know about all the amazing things happening for Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors across our council!
The chat is designed to be a safe space for older Girl Scouts to connect and is monitored by council staff.

Troop Rosters and Updates
|
Leaders, now is the perfect time to double-check your troop rosters and update your troop information if anything has changed.
We want to make sure that all the girls that are supposed to be in your troop are registered and we have the correct troop info to share with new or potential members. This will also help prepare for the upcoming cookie season.
If you notice someone missing or need help with the information update, please reach out to us at info@girlscoutsdiamonds.org. We are here to help!

Planning a Troop Trip This Fall? Don’t Forget to Submit Your Travel Application!
|
Just a reminder: any troop trip that is overnight or more than 120 miles one way requires a Travel Application to be submitted to info@girlscoutsdiamonds.org at least 3 weeks prior to the trip.
Please note: Using the troop funds for unapproved travel or overnight trips is a violation of council policy and may result in further action. Help us ensure safe, fun, and policy-compliant adventures for your girls!

Equine Program Impact Study
|
|
Your voice matters - your experience helps shape the future of our horse program! We’re conducting an Equine Program Impact Study to better understand its reach, effectiveness, and potential.
This study will help us: • Measure how well the program supports members across the council • Identify barriers to access (like cost, distance, or scheduling) • Ensure resources are used strategically and sustainably • Keep the program girl-led, mission-driven, and FUN
How to get involved: • Take the 6-8 minute survey • Invite us! Email barn@girlscoutsdiamonds.org if you’d like an equine staff member at your troop or service unit meeting. We may even bring along a special guest!
We especially encourage girl members to share their voices - the equine program should reflect what they want to learn, explore, and experience.
