GSSI Online Cookie Resource Updates
To make finding the information you need for cookie season easier, we have created two new resource pages on our website: Cookie Resources for Girls and Families and Cookie Resources for Volunteers. On these sites are guides, forms, online cookie platform guidance, marketing tools, badge and patch information, fun cookie-themed activities for girls, and more!

Smart Cookies and Digital Cookies
As a reminder, we will utilize two online platforms to manage the cookie program this year. Smart Cookies is only for volunteers, and Digital Cookie is for girls and families. (Volunteers also have access to track troop sales.)
All troops should now be registered in Smart Cookies. If your troop is not registered and you need assistance, please get in touch with cookies@girlscouts-gssi.org.
Troop cookie volunteers and girls should have received an email notification to register in Digital Cookies. For girls to access the Digital Cookies app, parents must register using a web browser and publish the girls’ page. Once this is done, access to the app is allowed. The app is for girls only.

Cookie Booth Lotteries
Council-run Cookie Booth Lotteries will begin on Sunday, December 10, 2023, in Smart Cookies.

Lottery 1: Sunday, December 10 at 9:00 AM–Tuesday, December 12, at 6:00 PM for Sam's Club and the Walmart East, West, and Newburgh locations.

Lottery 2: Wednesday, December 13 at 9:00 AM–Friday, December 15, at 6:00 PM for Walmart 1st Ave, Lowes East, Eastland Mall, a UE Lady Aces Basketball game, and all local Schnucks locations.

First Come, First Serve will start at 9:00 AM on Saturday, December 16. (First come, first serve allows anyone to sign up for remaining open time slots.)

Bookkeeper: This role supports the Chief Business Officer (CBO) in delivering sound fiscal control and managing the council’s financial stability and operation. They also oversee general human resource personnel functions within the organization. The position is 30-40 hours per week, depending on experience, skill, and preference. APPLY NOW
Membership & Troop Support Specialist (two positions): As a Membership and Troop Support Specialist, you will lead the development and execution of girl and adult membership recruitment and retention plans to achieve annual membership goals and outcomes using methods that reflect the community's strengths. This role also supports volunteers throughout the year, including recruiting, selecting, appointing, training, and evaluating their success. The position is full-time with a minimum of 30 hours per week with additional hours during peak recruitment months of August–November and April–May. APPLY NOW

Show your Girl Scout troop pride with our 2024 tees & hoodies in fun new colors! All designs feature the GSSI Logo on the front and the option to include your troop number on the right sleeve. Orders are placed at the beginning of each month; the next deadline to submit orders is January 4. If you miss the deadline, you will be added to the next month.
We will continue orders each month, as needed. We will also have a small stock of tees in the Girl Scout Shop, but they will not include a troop number. Allow approximately 3-4 weeks for delivery to the council. Download the order form at the link below for all information.

Girl Scout Advisory Board

In 2024, GSUSA is seeking ten new members to join the Girl Scout Advisory Board to Girl Scouts of the USA.
The national Girl Scout Advisory Board is a group of middle and high school Girl Scouts who make recommendations, contribute to key initiatives, and influence decision-making processes at our national office. Advisory board members develop leadership skills, collaborate with decision-makers at GSUSA, and grow skills to prepare for college and future leadership opportunities.

Girl Coalition of Indiana (Girl Co.) recognizes that girls and adult volunteers have some of the most creative and relevant ways to meet the needs of girls today. To support and empower trailblazers, Girl Co. will offer Mini Innovation Grants of up to $1,000 for individuals (both adults and youth) to test their ideas in their communities. These grants are designed to provide the resources needed to create enriching experiences that foster learning, creativity, and personal growth for girls.
