Not sure what to give your Girl Scout for the holidays? A trip to summer camp is the perfect gift! More than just a getaway, summer at Camp Koch is a place for Girl Scouts to explore the outdoors, try new activities, practice independence, learn to work with others, make new friends, and more!

Registration Now Open for 2025 Camp Staff and Volunteers
|
Apply now to assist with resident camp at GSSI's Camp Koch in Cannelton, IN! As a staff member or volunteer, you'll have the chance to positively impact the lives of Girl Scouts, helping them navigate personal growth, challenges, and new experiences. You'll also build lasting relationships with campers and fellow staff, creating a supportive community that extends beyond the camp season.
GSSI will host seven camp sessions at Camp Koch from June 14–29, 2025. Staff and volunteers can select the sessions that best fit their schedules on the registration form.

Cookie Booth Lotteries in Smart Cookies
|
The following cookie booth lotteries are open until Wednesday, December 11 at 9:00 AM CST:
•Walmart West (Vanderburgh) •Walmart East (Vanderburgh) •Walmart Newburgh •Sam's Club
This round of lottery drawings will take place on Wednesday, December 11 at 10:00 AM CST.
Any remaining cookie booth slots will be available for troops to reserve on a first-come, first-served basis starting Saturday, December 14, at 11:00 AM CST.
Complete lottery details, including instructions for entering, were emailed to cookie volunteers through Smart Cookies.

Upcoming Service Unit Meetings
|
Service units (SUs) consist of Girl Scout members who live in the same city or county. SUs provide opportunities for volunteers to connect, share experiences, and build camaraderie through their shared commitment to the Girl Scout mission. Join volunteer Missy Jones for tips and tricks on planning a variety of travel opportunities for your troop. Missy will review the Girl Scout Travel Progression Chart and provide recommendations on girl-led planning and programming at each level, from local outings to international trips!

Register for Spring 2025 Troop Camp Training!
|
Troop Camp Training certifies volunteers for tent camping overnights at campgrounds and other locations. This hands-on overnight experience covers advanced fire building, outdoor cooking, tent care, leave no trace, and more. PREREQUISITES: Fire Building and Basic Outdoor Cooking, completed at least six months prior
When: Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 9:00 AM to Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 12:00 PM CDT *You must attend the entire training to be certified Where: Camp Koch - Cannelton, Indiana Cost: $20.00 per person to cover food and training expenses. A $2.50 credit card processing fee will be added to each submission.

Exciting Opportunity: GSUSA Now Accepting Applications for the National Girl Scout Advisory Board!
|
GSUSA is accepting applications for up to 11 seats on the national Girl Scout Advisory Board! Current Girl Scouts in grades 6–10 are eligible to apply.
Members of the advisory board serve two-year terms and collaborate with GSUSA staff on key projects such as program strategy, convention planning, Highest Awards, cookie marketing, Global Girl Scouting, and more. Advisory board members develop leadership skills, collaborate with decision-makers at the national office, and grow skills that help prepare them for college and future leadership opportunities.
