Welcome to GSSI's Weekly Volunteer Update
Don't Miss This Week's Rallyhood Training!
We’re excited to announce our new collaboration platform, Rallyhood! This all-in-one tool will help our GSSI community—volunteers, families, and members—work more efficiently and stay connected. With over 12 years of experience working with Girl Scout councils, Rallyhood eliminates the need for multiple apps and brings everything together in one place in an easy-to-use application. You’ll soon have access to features like direct and group messaging, shared calendars, file sharing, event planning, and payment collection, all through a private desktop and mobile app.

LEARN ABOUT RALLYHOOD
An upcoming live admin training for troop leaders will be held on Thursday, March 20, at 6:00 PM CST. Please join the Welcome Volunteers Rally* for details of the call and to RSVP for the meeting. Training links and guides are available in the links section of the rally.
*Note: This link was incorrectly shared in a prior email. If you requested to join the "Partner Success Rally," you will need to join the "Welcome Volunteers Rally" instead. We apologize for the miscommunication.

Thank You for a Successful Cookie Program!
As the Cookie Program comes to a close, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the cookie volunteers, troop leaders, and families who worked tirelessly to help the girls achieve their goals this year. We truly appreciate your dedication and support! We also have some important updates to share:

Cookie Program Survey
At the end of this month, GSSI will be sending out a cookie program survey to gather your feedback on this year's cookie season. Your input is invaluable in helping us improve the experience for next year!

2025 Cookie Boss Event Invitation
We will also be inviting our top cookie sellers to our upcoming 2025 Cookie Boss event! Be sure to watch for an announcement later this month and mark your calendars for this exciting celebration!

Cookie Recognition Distribution
GSSI will notify troops once Service Unit (SU) Cookie Chairs have received cookie recognitions. Cookie Chairs will coordinate the distribution of these recognitions so you can celebrate your troop’s achievements.

Stay tuned for more details, and thank you for all your hard work during cookie season!

Spotlight on Our Amazing Volunteers
We are excited to highlight and celebrate the following volunteers this week in recognition of their outstanding contributions.
  • Cheyenne Long Cheyenne absolutely rocked her first cookie season as Troop 148's Cookie Volunteer! Not only did she flawlessly organize cookie orders and parent communication, but she was also a constant source of encouragement, always coaching our girls with positive words at every cookie booth. Thank you for being such an inspiring example of girl power!
Do you know a Girl Scout volunteer who has recently gone above and beyond in their role, and want to recognize them for their work? Submit this form, and we will include your story in one of the next weekly volunteer newsletters!

Nominate a Volunteer for a GSSI Award!
GSSI deeply appreciates the time and energy that our volunteers dedicate to the Girl Scout movement. Our local volunteer awards were created to formally recognize the exceptional contributions of volunteers within GSSI’s jurisdiction.

A special thank you to GSSI's Volunteer Appreciation Committee for introducing a NEW award category for 2025 – the Northern Star Award! This award honors outstanding volunteers who have served in two or more roles (e.g., Troop Co-Leader and Service Unit Treasurer), highlighting their versatility and dedication.

Nominations are due by April 1 for presentation at GSSI's Annual Meeting. Descriptions and requirements for each award category are available online, along with the submission form, HERE.
