|
Service units (SUs) consist of Girl Scout members who live in the same city or county. SUs provide opportunities for volunteers to connect, share experiences, and build camaraderie through their shared commitment to the Girl Scout mission. Regardless of volunteer role, all volunteers are invited to attend SU meetings in their area! Learn more at About Girl Scout Service Units.

Important Cookie Reminders
|
Troop Initial Orders - All troop initial orders are due in Smart Cookies by Monday, January 13. Please ensure that both your initial order AND your early recognition order are completed by this date so your Service Unit Cookie Chair can review them.
Early Recognition - The final date for orders to count towards a girl’s early recognition is Tuesday, January 7. This means that any online orders (direct ship and girl delivery through Digital Cookie) placed by this date will count towards early recognition.
Any orders a girl has on her paper form when submitted for the troop's initial order (even if it is not submitted until this weekend) will count toward her early recognition. After January 7, any direct ship orders will count towards a girl's main recognition instead.
Girl Delivery through Digital Cookie - Girl orders placed and paid for on Digital Cookie for girl delivery WILL transfer from Digital Cookie to Smart Cookies. January 7 is the final day for families to approve girl delivery orders, and transfers should appear no later than Sunday, January 12. Please confirm the number of girl delivery orders for each girl to ensure your numbers are accurate.
Families can access their girl's delivery order through the ORDER TAB.
Troops can access girl delivery orders by scrolling down the home page and clicking the ALL ORDER DATA report. Once the transfer occurs, you will see these numbers in the PRE SALE PKG column. Any initial orders entered into Smart Cookie using a girl’s paper order form will appear in the INV PKG column.

Unlock the Power to Protect with Stewards of Children
|
GSSI is excited to offer a crucial opportunity for all adults in our community! We’ve partnered with the Lampion Center to present Darkness to Light's Stewards of Children training—an award-winning program that empowers you to prevent, recognize, and respond to child sexual abuse. Thanks to generous grant funding, this invaluable training is completely free!
As a GSSI volunteer, completing this program is strongly recommended and essential to upholding our Policies, Standards, and Volunteer & Child Protection Guidelines.
You can choose to participate in person or virtually, making it easy to fit this important training into your schedule. Join us in making a real difference in the lives of children and fostering a safer community. Sign up today!

Adrienne Hamm "I want to thank Adrienne for her unwavering dedication to both her community and her troop. As a volunteer firefighter and someone who's always involved in her kids' activities, her commitment to helping out is truly awesome. Her involvement and passion embody the spirit of the Girl Scouts and she is an inspiration to me."

Jannelle James "Jannelle serves as the SU Business Chair for Perry County, in addition to many other volunteer roles. She took the initiative of inviting Spencer volunteers to the Perry SU meetings, helping them get more involved and support their troops. She has also ensured that all troops in her service unit have submitted their cookie forms on time. Jannelle makes a significant impact in our Girl Scout community!"
