Hello Cookie Manager,
Girl Scouts did an amazing job on their Initial Orders this year. Thank you for all of your efforts! We are excited to get cookies in the hands of local Girl Scouts in the coming weeks and look forward to seeing girls and troops at Mega Drop and booth sales. GSHCC has planned to stock local Cupboards at the highest capacity possible. We have also already ordered additional inventory to our delivery agent warehouses to facilitate the process of getting cookies to local Cupboards for distribution.

Cookie Drops
|
With the anticipated volume of cookies being distributed, troops attending Mega Drop may experience longer wait times at the event. Troops attending Mega Drop are highly encouraged to bring a “loader.” Please visit our website for event information, maps, and more. Please remember to print a Windshield Flier to further help us with our check-in process. If you are in a service unit that hosts a Mini Drop, remember to work with your service unit cookie manager for more event information.
Initial Order Pick-Up Volunteer registration for Mega Drop closes on February 12.

Booths and Alternatives to Booths
|
Booth sales and alternatives to booths begin on February 23. Remember that Lemonade Stands can only be hosted on personal, residential property. All booths hosted on commercial and/or public property must be entered and approved in Smart Cookies as Troop Secured Booths.
Girls can accept contactless credit card payments at through the Digital Cookie app using a mobile device when selling at booths or during an individual sale. These payments are credited directly to the Troop Cookie Program account. Girls will select their troop from the drop-down menu. For further assistance about mobile payments, please refer to page 7 of the Mobile App tip sheet.
Troop Virtual Booth Links
Set up your troop link and ensure that girls select the troop site from the drop-down when attending booth sales. If girls are selling cookies out of their own inventory, not the troop's, they will take orders from their own accounts. For further assistance about mobile payments, please refer to page 7 of the Mobile App tip sheet.
Booth Sale Guidelines You can find Smart Cookies videos on ABC Bakers’ YouTube page.

Cookie Share
|
Girl Scouts can continue accepting Cookie Share donations throughout the entire Cookie Program. Cookie Share donations are virtual, so troops do not manage physical donations. GSHCC makes all donations at the end of the cookie program to food banks, retirement homes, homeless shelters, Blue Star moms, and other local charitable organizations. Through our Cookie Share Program last year, GSHCC was able to donate to 50 community organizations throughout our council. Impressive!
Girls who sell 15+ Cookie Share donations will earn a patch. Girls who sell 30+ Cookie Share donations will earn the Boost Bar to add to your theme key ring. Sell 50+ Cookie Share donations to earn a Boost Bar.

Girl Delivery
|
Girls can continue taking Girl Delivery orders. Any inventory needed to accommodate these orders will need to be transferred to girls using a Transfer Order. Initial Order inventory for Girl Delivery orders has already been automatically assigned. For future Girl Delivery Orders, caregivers will need to make arrangements to get additional cookies from their troop. Digital Coookie does not automatically send orders to the cookie managers when cookies are needed for more orders. Gluten-free will be turned on and available for these orders so the troop should turn it off from their “my cookies” tab if they do not have it available. Girls will also need to turn off unavailable varieties from their own accounts. Orders they cannot fulfill will need to be refunded.

Financials
|
An ACH pre-authorization was processed on February 1. Troops who do not have a cleared pre-authorization will be contacted by GSHCC and will not be able to pick up cookies at Cupboards until their ACH information has been updated.

Gluten-free Caramel Chocolate Chip
|
Troops can now see the gluten-free cookies assigned to their troop in the Initial Order. These can be transferred to girls using Transfer Orders. If troops did not pre-order these cookies back in October, they were removed from the inventory column. Presale column orders were not canceled by ABC as they are prepaid and approved orders from Digital Cookie. Caramel Chocolate Chip cookies can be found in limited quantities at local Cookie Cupboards on a first-come, first-served basis. Troops can request these cookies in their Planned Orders but inventory is not guaranteed.

|
Cookie Cupboard
|
Our Cookie Cupboard will begin opening Friday, February 23. Planned Order deadlines are Sundays at midnight and we recommend pick-ups for Friday or later to allow time for cookie delivery. If you want to pick up cookies at a Cupboard on the opening day, the deadline to place a Planned Order would be Sunday, February 18 at midnight. Hours depend on Cupboard Managers opening their homes to make cookies available. Not all Cupboards will accept Unplanned Orders, and those that do accept them will prioritize inventory for Planned Orders.
The GSHCC Modesto and Sacramento cupboards will not accept unplanned orders in February.
