We are nearing the end of the 2024 Girl Scout Cookie Program! We want to ensure all troops wrap-up their sale successfully, so please remind troops in your service unit to adhere to all program deadlines.

Cookie Cupboards
|
We are down to the last week of the cookie program. All Cookie Cupboards are stocked with all cookie varieties. We also encourage troops to utilize Troop to Troop transfers if they are looking for smaller package quantities. The GSHCC Modesto and Sacramento Cupboards are accepting Unplanned Orders during open Cupboard hours, of all varieties while supplies last!

Last Chance Booths
|
We have plenty of booths available council-wide. If booths are not available in their service unit, troops are encouraged to look at availability in surrounding areas. Troops can continue making booths appointments in Smart Cookies. Cookie Cupboards are also stocked in all cookie varieties to support this last weekend of booths sales.
Managing Booths
Last Chance Booth patches will be available for girls that participate in booths during the week of March 11-17. These patches have been updated from last year. Only one patch per Girl Scout; the total patch request per troop cannot exceed the total number of girls in Smart Cookies. Request forms are due by Wednesday, March 20.

Program Wrap-up
|

As the 2024 cookie program wraps up on Sunday, March 17, here are a few reminders:

Ensure all sold inventory is assigned to participants. While it's not necessary to have zero on-hand inventory, transferring sold inventory to girls maximizes their rewards.

Troops must create Main and Troop Recognition Orders by March 20 at 11:59 pm. Juliettes can submit a Main Recognition Order only. Troops without recognition orders cannot order rewards.

Troops with outstanding cookie balances will go into the collection process and won't receive Troop Treasure if earned.

Submit all Main and Troop Recognition Orders at the service unit level by March 24 at 11:59 pm.

Remember, troop and service unit users are responsible for meeting all program deadlines. Financial or reward changes cannot be made after Tuesday, March 26, as orders will be submitted to ABC Bakers.

Cookie Share
|
Please remind troops to enter any Cookie Share donations received via Girl Delivery orders as Virtual Cookie Share for girls to get credit for them. GSHCC will donate Cookie Share donations to Blue Star Moms, local food banks, blood drives and other local organizations. Troops making a Cookies for Community donation are responsible for coordinating their deliveries, as indicated on page 14 of the Troop Cookie Manager Guide. This inventory will not be accepted by GSHCC or other local Cupboards.

Rewards
|
|
All troops must complete both the Main and Troop Recognition Order with correct reward choices and sizes. Service units will only receive the precise quantities of items specified on the Smart Cookies recognition reports. Please remind troops that families can reserve a spot at camp before earning the Camp Voucher, but they will be responsible for the $25 deposit. Before making any reward selections, families should carefully review experience dates. If a particular date doesn't fit their schedule, they're encouraged to work with their troop to choose an alternative option, as no other substitutions can be accommodated.

Financials
|
Troops needing an ACH extension must contact GSHCC at least three days before the withdrawal, regardless of receiving a reminder email. Troops with returned ACH payments are responsible for any fees due to insufficient funds. A notification has been sent to troops with returned payments, visible on their Troop Balance Summary Reports. As the sale comes to an end, troops should verify that girls have zero balances. In case of negative balances, troops should confirm completion of Transfer Orders or issue refunds as needed. Troops should not use troop proceeds to settle girl balances and are strongly encouraged to submit a Cookie Collection Report if necessary. This ensures access to earned funds for all troop members. Upon form completion, GSHCC will credit the troop account for the collection amount and handle direct communication with families for payment. Troops should refrain from collecting money from families post-form submission and direct them to GSHCC instead. Collection Reports must include permission forms and adhere to the due date, with no exceptions.

Juliettes
|
Juliette families should be following the same wrap-up process as troops. Juliettes were instructed to accept card payments only and should have no balance due. If a Juliette has leftover inventory, GSHCC will transfer out up to 24 packages of any variety only if a Juliette Unsold Inventory Form is completed by March 18, no exceptions. Families with a balance due will be contacted by GSHCC directly. Families with outstanding cookie balances are not eligible for Pathway Credits. Girls will be sent their Pathway Credits at the end of May.
