ICYMI: GSCSA Media Girls
Media Girls is a new program where Girl Scouts can participate in social media, news, radio, and promotional opportunities, developing lifelong skills like public speaking, writing, presenting, and editing skills.

What Media Girls Do:
Media Girls will have the opportunity to promote new and exciting things that may be featured on our social media platforms or website through video and photo. Such content can include troop meeting activities, cookie and fall product seasons, patch programs, recruitment efforts, and so much more! Some girls may also get to appear on local news stations or discuss the organization on local radio stations. The team will work collaboratively with individual interests and strengths, to generate organic content that represents our communities and the girls within them.

Visit our website today for more info and how to apply!

Meet Roxaline Holbrook: The New Director of Our Tennessee Valley & North Georgia Region
In her new position, Roxaline Holbrook combines her passion for people with a commitment to meaningful, community-focused leadership. With a Master’s Degree in Human Services from Liberty University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Belhaven College, Roxaline brings both insight and heart to her work, ensuring that the teams she leads feel supported, valued, and inspired to grow.

Beyond her professional role, Roxaline is a proud single mom of four and finds her greatest joy in watching her children thrive—whether it’s at a cheer competition, a track meet, or on the baseball and basketball fields. She loves exploring new places, from quick domestic getaways to international adventures, and believes that travel is one of the best ways to connect, learn, and recharge.

“Joining Girl Scouts fills me with excitement and purpose. I’m honored to be part of an organization that empowers young girls to lead with confidence, courage, and compassion.”

Patch Image
Patch Pick: TDOT's Rocco the Raccoon Patch
Girl Scouts who’ve already earned the Nobody Trashes Tennessee and Trashsquatch patches have a new challenge: The Rocco the Raccoon Patch 🦝.

This all-new patch celebrates Girl Scouts who continue to make a difference in keeping Tennessee clean and beautiful. To earn the Rocco the Raccoon Patch, Girl Scouts must complete a third litter prevention activity, such as another cleanup, educational worksheet, or both. We encourage doing both for the full experience!

Let’s keep building momentum and show Tennessee that Girl Scouts are true leaders in protecting our state.

Museum Mention
Would you or your troop like to have a taste of Girl Scout history? We have plenty of old handbooks, from the 1920s to the 1950s, for you and your girls to use for arts and crafts, troop ideas, or history projects. Email us at museum@girlscoutcsa.org and we will supply you with the books you need for FREE!

Don't forget Museum Tours! With various holidays coming up, now is a good time to do a troop outing on a weekday. You can register for a free, docent-led tour by using the form found on the Girl Scout Museum page. If you'd also like to do a vintage uniform try-on, please make sure to include each girl's first name, her waist size, and what level she is (D/B/J/C/S/A) and give us at least TWO WEEKS notice so we can sort the uniforms.

Our Sewing Scouts are going great! Still looking for more girls and adults, Cadette and above, who would like to learn machine sewing. You'll be making all sorts of neat projects out of vintage uniform fabric for yourself and for the Museum.
