Product Advisory Committee – Accepting applications through Sept. 30

Are you interested in shaping the Cookie and Fall Product Programs? Have ideas that could benefit our 46 counties? GSCSA is now taking applications for GSCSA’s Product Advisory Committee, better known as PAC. The committee will consist of Volunteers from each area who will assist the Product Team by sharing best practices, providing feedback, and making suggestions for the upcoming Cookie and Fall Product Programs. PAC meetings will be held once a month via Zoom. Apply now and you may be the next voice of GSCSA’s volunteers!

Joyce Maienschein Leadership Grant
|
|
Cadettes, Seniors, or Ambassadors who are working on a community service, take action project, or High Award can apply for a Joyce Maienschein Leadership Grant to help make their dream a reality. Not only can the girls receive funding for up to $500, but they gain life skills like writing, budgeting, organization, and teamwork. It's a win-win!

Be Seen in Your Community
|
|
Several girls from troop 20960 worked with CareCuts to earn their Bronze Award. CareCuts is a nonprofit organization that provides goods and services to the homeless and less fortunate. Girls volunteered sorting clothing and items for those in need. In addition, they had a lemonade stand where the community was able to donate household items. The girls took all donated items and stocked boxes that will be given to families who find new housing through CareCuts.

Chattanooga Lookouts
|
|
The Chattanooga Lookouts invite Girl Scouts to a night of baseball on Sept. 16! Pregame, girls will get a behind the scenes look at a baseball game, learn how to keep score, and participate in a parade around AT&T Field. Girls can turn in their scorecard during the fourth inning to earn an exclusive Lookouts patch, and run the bases at the end of the game.

Appalachian Consortium for Nursing Education
|
|
Appalachian Consortium for Nursing Education is once again hosting the Introduction to Nursing Event Badge Bash on Sat., Oct. 28 at the ETSU Mini Dome for Girl Scout Brownies – Ambassadors. Each girl will earn two badges and a custom-created Explore Nursing patch.
