Girl Scout Highest Award Mentors Needed!
Would you like to learn more about what it means to guide older Girl Scouts through their Highest Awards? Are you aware of all the resources to support them through their process? GSHCC is starting a project for Adult Volunteers to learn all about becoming a Highest Awards Mentor.

Highest Award Mentors serve as local resources for girls and their families working toward their Silver, Rose, or Gold Awards. These mentors are not the Project Advisors or the Adult Volunteers listed on the award paperwork, but they provide additional guidance and support. Mentors will also be part of the GSHCC network of Highest Award Mentors and staff, providing additional support for the award process. Studies have shown that Girl Scouts with access to a mentor like this tend to have a smoother and more successful experience in completing their projects.

Please join us at one of two informational meetings on Zoom to learn more about Girl Scout Highest Awards and if Mentoring would be right for you.

Philanthropy Spotlight
A new year brings exciting new opportunities for Girl Scouts! Thanks to generous donors, GSHCC hosted Nature’s Canvas: Outdoor Art Workshop, where Juniors and Cadettes crafted wind chimes and plant holders from upcycled materials. They also explored how nature supports mental wellness through calming, meditative techniques. Thank you for making these impactful programs possible!
