ACH Withdrawal #1
|
The Primary Contact listed for your troop in ABC Smart Cookies should have received an email on March 12 about the ACH withdrawal on happening on March 19.
All funds should be deposited into your Troop Bank account no later than March 17 as the withdrawal will happen early in the day on March 19 and some banks take 24 hours to fully deposit any checks received.
If you need to make any change to the amount of the pull from your Troop bank account, please email info@gsbadgerland.org with a new amount NO LATER than March 16, 2025.

NEW Resource Regarding Cookie Safety Questions
|
This week, a lawsuit was filed alleging the presence of toxins in Girl Scout Cookies and questioning their safety. As we have consistently stated, these claims are misleading and false—Girl Scout Cookies are safe.
Due to the litigation, this story is circulating in the media and may raise questions or concerns from customers. If asked about this issue, please refer to this flyer as a resource and encourage the prospective customer to use the QR code to read this update from Girl Scouts of the USA. We recommend printing multiple copies to have on hand at your booth for a clear and consistent response.

Downtown Madison
|
Reminder that Girl Scouts are not permitted to sell outdoors anywhere in Downtown Madison, including State Street. You are able to have a booth indoors, and send Girl Scouts outside with signs to invite customers to come inside for their purchase.
When in doubt, reach out to 608-261-9171 or streetvending@cityofmadison.com if you are not sure if a booth is allowed outdoors at a certain location.
If these rules are not followed, we are at risk of not being able to have booths downtown at all in the future.

Cookie Returns
|
March 22 & 23 | 2-7 p.m.

Returns are limited to 1/2 case (6 boxes) per Girl Scout registered to the troop. This includes Girl Scouts not selling cookies. A troop must have placed an Initial Order by January 24 in order to make returns.
Returns are made in full case increments. Troops with an uneven number of Girl Scouts, round up to the next full case for returns. Example: a troop with 9 Girl Scouts can return 5 full cases; a troop with 11 Girl Scouts can return 6 cases, etc.
Returned cases must be unopened, clean (no writing on the cartons!) and undamaged. Gluten-free Caramel Chocolate Chip cookies cannot be returned.

March 30 - Consignment Planned Orders allowed through the April 6 planned order.

April 13 - Cookie sale ends. Keep selling until your inventory is at zero.
April 13 - All cookies should be delivered to customers.
April 14 - Turn in any Delinquent Parent Information.
April 14 - Deposit cookie money into troop bank account.
April 22 - Girl & Troop reward order due in Smart Cookies.
April 24 - ACH Withdrawal #2.
Throughout the sale, stay in touch with families and redistribute cookies as needed to balance inventory among troop members. This will help minimize your need to do a Planned Order or find yourself with too many cookies to be able to return during the upcoming Return Dates.
