Dear GSHCC Volunteer,
In the blink of an eye, summer is coming to an end and the beginning of a new school year is upon us. The warm weather brought the anticipation and excitement of outdoor adventures, but now it’s time for new journeys, new friendships, and best of all, making new and amazing memories. I hope that you’ve had time to recharge before you embark on a new year with your Girl Scout troop and are ready to continue sharing your experience and knowledge.
You are someone that your Girl Scouts can count on. You listen to them, encourage them to chase their dreams and help them feel confident in who they are. The love and commitment you have as a Girl Scout volunteer is apparent. Girl Scouts see it. Girl Scouts feel it. It lives within them and helps them stay committed to Girl Scouting.
Being a Girl Scout volunteer may have difficult moments, not everything always goes as planned. But the effort, time and energy you are giving to Girl Scouts, is greatly appreciated—by the girls you work with, your adult peers, and especially me.
I know you have a busy life with many things pulling on you. Often times Girl Scouts is one more item on a very long “to-do” list. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to girls and their futures. You are truly making a difference!
