Kara has devoted much of her life to Girl Scouts, serving as a Troop Leader for 14 years, a New Leader Mentor, Mentor Captain, GSHCC Trainer, and Membership Manager for the Elk Grove Service Unit. Her leadership goes beyond guiding troops; Kara has also developed programs, trainings, and events to enrich the Girl Scout experience for both girls and volunteers. Whether leading sold-out day camps, organizing Girl Scout tradition events, or supporting fellow volunteers through trainings and mentorship, her dedication shines through. New Option for Mandated Reporter Training
|
|
We’re excited to share that GSUSA has created a Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Course that complies with California State Law AB506 requirements. This course is now part of the 634 Mandated Reporter training, giving volunteers the option to complete this new training or continue to submit proof of training from work or another volunteer role. Please note: GSHCC manually reviews acknowledgment forms and uploaded certificates, so the courses won't show as 100% complete until the review is finished. Remember, this training must be completed every two years.
