It's Food Drive Time!

Our annual Food Drive is happening Nov. 1-17. Girls who donate at least three items will receive a fun patch! Items can be dropped off at our three Leadership Centers during regular business hours. Food will be donated to Second Harvest organizations in Knoxville and Johnson City. Food collected in Chattanooga will go to the Chattanooga Food Bank.
*We ARE NOT accepting glass jars, expired food, or "junk" food.

Activity Approvals/Safety Activity Checkpoints
|
|
Girl Scout activities that are considered higher risk by the national Girl Scout insurance company require Council pre-approval through GSCSA’s Activity Approval form. The activities that require Council pre-approval are listed on our website. As announced earlier this fall, the national Girl Scout basic activity insurance now includes all domestic Girl Scout activities and covers non-members who have been invited to participate in a Girl Scout activity.
Activity Approval forms are due 2 weeks prior to the activity’s start date. Overnights must be pre-approved no matter what specific activities are included during the overnight trip. If an activity that requires Council pre-approval is not submitted/not approved, the activity is not an official Girl Scout event which means (1) troop funds cannot be used for the activity and (2) Girl Scout insurance does not apply.
Prior to all activity planning, troops should review the appropriate Safety Activity Checkpoints for any activity requirements, the permitted grade levels, and additional helpful information for the activity. Staff are available to consult with volunteers on activities.
