Our volunteers go above and beyond to make a difference in Girl Scouts’ lives and truly exemplify the spirit of volunteerism. Whether they are leading a service unit, troop or program, managing a cookie cupboard or troop finances, or guiding Girl Scouts on a myriad of engaging and skill-building activities and adventures, our volunteers lead the way. They dedicate countless hours to the Movement, showing our Girl Scouts that they hold an important place in the world. Thank you to all of our volunteers!
Help us show the love to our volunteers this month—and all year-long, by sending your troop leader, a troop volunteer, a member of your Service Unit, or any other amazing Girl Scout volunteer a virtual card of appreciation.

Amanda Banks
|
Staying with Troop 1089 for over 12 years, Amanda Banks has provided exceptional opportunities for our local Girl Scouts, particularly in her final year as leader. Collaborating with NASA's ARISS program, she organized learning sessions for Girl Scouts, partnered with the River City Radio Society, and secured grants and training for ham radio communication with an astronaut aboard the ISS. On February 22, 14 Girl Scouts made contact with the ISS, with widespread community support. Thank you, Amanda, for bringing us closer to space!
