Taking Payments at a Cookie Booth
|
Don't let the customer walk away with their cookies at a cookie booth before the payment finalizes!
Once an order is placed, the Girl Scout will receive a confirmation screen and a reminder to thank the customer for the order.
Only hand the cookies to the customer once you see the screen on the right.
Looking for more info on the mobile app? Learn more about taking Credit Card/Venmo/PayPal payments at a booth using the links below. (Tip sheet) (Video)

Gluten Free Cookies
|
We do not have any more gluten free cookies available at the council, and we are unable to get more from our baker. If you are in need of gluten free cookies, reach out to other troops in your area.
Turn Off Gluten Free for Girl Delivery You can do this by going to the My Cookies tab on Digital Cookie, and switch the button to "off". Click "Update Delivery" to confirm the setting. You can turn this back on at any time if you are able to get more.

Plan Ahead for Cookie Safety Questions
|
False claims of contaminants in Girl Scout cookies have been circling on social and in the media for several months. To help your troop respond confidently, we’ve provided two resources: "What if Scenarios" and “Navigating Questions about the Safety of Girl Scout Cookies” —both available on Cookie Central.
We encourage you to print and review these resources, and to take a moment to read this blog post from Girl Scouts of the USA addressing the misinformation. With a little preparation, you’ll Be Prepared (that’s our motto!) to support your troop in responding to any concerns.
Thank you for being a trusted champion for Girl Scouts…during Cookie Season and beyond!

Cookie Share
|
Has your troop received any “donation” orders (aka Cookie share)?
Run the “All Orders” report in Digital Cookie. Sort the excel spreadsheet by the donation column and type of order.
These cookies come from Council Inventory: Direct Ship orders that include Donations CShare (Hint: "C" is for "Council"!)
These cookies come from Troop or Girl Inventory: Cookies on Hand Girl Delivery Tracked Cookie Share (Hint: "T" is for "Troop"!)
If you need cookies to fill these Cookie share orders, remember to place a Planned Order. You will need to do a Troop to Girl transfer to make sure the Girl Scout gets credit for selling these donation cookies.

Reminder - Festival Foods
|
Just a reminder, if you are doing a booth at a Festival Foods, you need to go to the Customer Service and hand in the signed agreement form.
You also need to remember, that you are NOT allowed to solicit their customers by yelling at them to buy Girl Scout cookies. You are allowed to say things like: “hello”, “have a great day” and when the customer approaches the booth, then you may engage them in purchasing cookies.

Clarification: ACH Withdrawals
|
This year there will be two ACH withdrawals. March 19: 40% of troops balance as of March 12 April 24: Remaining balance of what is owed to council as of April 21.
There was a misprint on some of our materials this year. The correct amount for withdrawal #1 is 40%.
