Upcoming Service Unit Meetings

|
Service units (SUs) consist of Girl Scout members who live in the same city or county. SUs provide opportunities for volunteers to connect, share experiences, and build camaraderie through their shared commitment to the Girl Scout mission. Regardless of volunteer role, all volunteers are invited to attend SU meetings in their area! Learn more at About Girl Scout Service Units.
GSSI staff will distribute money aprons for all returning co-leaders and SU team members and spring renewal rewards during the fall SU meetings! Spring renewal items will include a list of individuals receiving rewards. Troop coupons expire on September 30, 2024.

Streamlined for 2024-2025: New Permission Procedures and Requirements
|
For the 2024-2025 membership year, GSSI has combined the Annual Permission and Cookie Permission Forms into one online document that families can submit directly. We've also introduced two new documents: the Annual Adult Participation Agreement, submitted to GSSI, and the Annual Troop Health Form, which troops must keep on hand in case of emergencies. Troops must only keep a hard copy of the Troop Health Form on hand. Additional hard copy forms, such as special permission forms, are only needed if specified by the new Annual Permission Form guidelines for certain activities.
Please follow these new permission form procedures:
|
|
All forms are now available on the GSSI website under Members / For Volunteers / Forms & Documents. For questions, contact support@girlscouts-gssi.org or call 812-421-4970.

Every year on October 11, the global community comes together to celebrate International Day of the Girl. It’s the day when you can recognize the power of girls everywhere—and highlight, discuss, and take action to advance the rights of, and opportunities for, girls across the globe.
Every girl has the power to realize her potential. But it’s important to amplify girls’ voices and advocate for their inclusion in changemaking spaces.
Earn the exclusive 2024 International Day of the Girl fun patch with this updated Activity Guide based on the 2024 theme, “Girls' Vision for the Future.”

Promote the Vote 2024
|
During GSSI's Vest Quest Fridays this fall, Girl Scouts will have the opportunity to participate in the Promote the Vote service project and earn the Civics and Citizen Badges for their program level! Full details are available on the Vest Quest Fridays page.
GSUSA respects that Girl Scout staff and volunteers may hold varying political opinions and, in their personal capacity, favor certain candidates in national, state, and local elections; however, any activities in your Girl Scout capacity must adhere to the GSUSA policy.
If your troop/group would like to research additional ways to promote the vote through Girl Scouts, please review the following resources on GSSI's Volunteer Resource Hub under "2024 Election Year Guidance":
