Dear GSHCC Volunteer,
Welcome to the start of an exciting new Girl Scout year! We are thrilled about the opportunities ahead and can’t wait to embark on this journey together. Whether you are a returning member or new to the Girl Scout community, we have an incredible year of growth, adventure, and learning planned for girls of all ages.
GSHCC will continue to offer a variety of signature events. For example, our Girl Scout Expo last Saturday at the Aerospace Museum, with over 600 attendees, including 400 girls. It was wonderful to see so many families—moms, dads, siblings, grandparents, and more—engaging in all the activities, from the portable rock wall to the flight simulator. I loved connecting with the girls and witnessing the dedication and commitment of our volunteers. Thank you to those of you who were able to join the fun and learning!
Looking ahead, our Girl Scout Cookie Program will begin just after the new year, followed by our Outdoor Adventure Campout in May. If you haven’t joined us for the Adventure Campout before, I highly recommend it—it’s a fantastic way for your girls to experience the outdoors with lots of support from our team and program partners.
This June, we’re trying something new by combining our statewide Day at the Capitol event with our Capitol Bridging ceremony. Girls will get the chance to participate in our civic engagement program and then join the bridging ceremony at the Tower Bridge—either to bridge themselves or to cheer others on. We’re excited to share these experiences with girls from across the state.
And don’t forget, our annual BIG Volunteer Conference is coming up in September! It’s an amazing opportunity for Girl Scout volunteers and staff to learn, grow, laugh, and celebrate together. Stay tuned for the call for presenters—it’s going to be a wonderful event, and you won’t want to miss it.
At the heart of our mission is the belief that every girl deserves to feel welcomed, valued, and empowered. Our goal is to ensure each girl sees herself reflected in Girl Scouting. Thank you for helping us make this happen.
