Hello Service Unit Cookie Manager,
Troops and girls will be getting their Initial Orders beginning this week! This means customer deliveries and booth sales are just around the corner. There is rain on the forecast for both GSHCC Mega Drops. If troops are picking up cookies in trucks with open beds, two tarps should be used to protect cookies. One should be placed under cases and another should cover the top. Please note that rain will cause additional event delays. We appreciate your patience and support!

Cookie Drops
|
Our Cookie Drops are beginning soon! If your service unit hosts a Mini Drop, ensure troops have all the information for your event. Remember to use the Dot Sheet report in Smart Cookies to print Dot Sheets for your event. Please refer to the Mini Drop Planning Checklist for assistance and Dot Sheets.
GSHCC’s Mega Drops are rain or shine! The northern Mega Drop will end promptly at 1 pm, and the southern Mega Drop will end promptly at 10:30 am. No cookies will be distributed after this time. GSHCC provides the inventory sheets for Mega Drop, so troops do not need to print their Dot Sheets. Volunteers who are also picking up cookies will be relieved of their volunteer duties 15 minutes before the event ends to pick up their inventory. Troops attending Mega Drop should review our Mega Drop information.

Please remind troops that all inventory discrepancies (damages, overages, and shortages) must be resolved by contacting GSHCC Customer Care within 24 hours of their Cookie Drop event. Troops must print out their confirmation email and bring it to a local Cupboard to resolve within one week of Cupboard opening day.

Booths and Alternatives to Booths
|
Lemonade Stands can only be hosted on residential property. All booths hosted on commercial and/or public property must be entered and approved in Smart Cookies as Troop Secured Booths if it is not a service unit secured site. If girls are using their own inventory, they will use their Digital Cookie site to take the order.

Girls can accept contactless credit card payments through the Digital Cookie app using a mobile device when selling at booths, but the troop site must be set up by the troop cookie manager first. These payments are credited directly to the troop. Since girls are selling troop inventory at booths, they will select their troop from the drop-down menu when signing in to Digital Cookie. For further assistance about mobile payments, please refer to page 7 of the Mobile App tip sheet.

GSUSA has reported that some users on the Digital Cookie mobile app have experienced an error message or maintenance page. If you are using the mobile app and experience this, please log out of the app and log back in to re-establish connectivity.

Financials
|
|
Troops who did not clear the Pre-Authorization charge and those that have not submitted valid ACH information have been contacted by GSHCC. These troops will not be able to place Planned Orders.

Cookie Cupboards
|
Our Cookie Cupboard will begin opening Friday, February 23. Planned Order deadlines are Sundays at midnight. Planned Orders are highly encouraged as not all Cupboards accept Planned Orders. These orders get priority and help GSHCC with inventory planning. Cupboards can only distribute full cases, so we encourage service units to help troops coordinate troop to troop (T2T) transfers for those looking for individual packages. In the month of February, both GSHCC Cupboards will only be open for Planned Orders only.
Caramel Chocolate Chip cookies can be found in limited quantities at local Cookie Cupboards. They can be ordered through Planned Orders but inventory may not be guaranteed as we cannot restock this variety in our Cookie Cupboards.
