Dear GSHH Volunteers,
GSHH will be ending its relationship with G1 Facility Services later this fall, on November 14, 2025. GSHH will hire in-house property maintenance personnel; those positions will be posted online this week.
The council will share updates with members as they are available, and GSHH commits to communicating transparently with you throughout this process.
This change is not immediate; GSHH members are to continue following the same procedures for reservations, on-site needs, and emergencies through 11/14/25.
To properly onboard the new staff members, GSHH camp properties, Camp Addisone Boyce, Camp Wendy, and Rock Hill Camp are no longer accepting Doubleknot reservations from November 15, 2025, to January 15, 2026. Camp Ludington will continue to rest.
During this time, GSHH will:
• Provide ongoing communication with membership via Rallyhood and Headlines and Happenings to update, inform, and engage
• Implement in-depth property staff training
• Conduct current property assessments
• Begin Capital Improvement projects
• Align website property pages with current information
• Update Doubleknot with reservation information
• Update emergency contact numbers and procedures
• Schedule early January meeting for liaisons to program centers and camp ‘Friends of’ groups
• “Meet Your Ranger” Events (virtual and in-person) in January
